Methylene Blue Drops: Benefits & FAQs
What makes Valor BioLabs Methylene Blue different from other brands?
Most methylene blue supplements are marketed toward
biohackers or general wellness. We built ours for people whose performance matters in real situations, first responders, athletes, anyone who operates under physical and mental stress for extended periods. The formula, the dosing, and the thinking behind it come from 20+ years of lived experience on both
sides of that equation. We use what we sell.
Do you actually use this product yourself?
Yes. I spent over 20 years as a first responder and weight
lifter. I built Valor Bio Labs because I couldn't find a supplement brand that understood what our bodies actually go through on a long shift. Valor BioLabs Methylene Blue is part of my daily stack. I wouldn't put my name on something I don't trust.
Can I stack it with your other products?
Absolutely. Valor BioLabs Methylene Blue pairs well with our
Hydration Powder for full-shift electrolyte and cellular support, and with our Focus Energy Mix for pre-shift cognitive prep. Together they cover the full picture, hydration, energy production, and mental clarity.
How long until I notice a difference?
Most people report clearer focus and more sustained energy
within the first few uses. The mitochondrial benefits build over consistent daily use, think of the first week as your baseline, and weeks 2–4 as where you really start to feel the compound effect.
How is this different from just drinking coffee or taking a pre-workout?
Caffeine and stimulant-based pre-workouts work by exciting
your nervous system, which is why they cause jitters, increased heart rate, and a crash when they wear off. Methylene Blue works at the mitochondrial level, supporting how your cells actually produce energy. It's not a stimulant. It's cellular fuel, which is why it works equally well at hour 1 and hour 10 of a shift.
What Are the Potential Side Effects and Safety Considerations?
Methylene blue can produce noticeable effects, even at moderate doses. One of the most common and harmless side effects is a blue or green discoloration of urine or stool. Other mild effects may include headaches, dizziness, or digestive discomfort. While these are typically not serious, they highlight the compound’s potency and the importance of proper dosing and awareness. Can
I take Methylene Blue if I'm on other medications?
The most important thing to know: methylene blue affects serotonin activity in the body, so combining it with medications that also raise serotonin (SSRIs and SNRIs, common antidepressants like sertraline, fluoxetine, or venlafaxine),
MAOIs, and some other serotonergic medications, can cause a serious reaction called serotonin syndrome. This isn't a minor side effect to shrug off. It's the single biggest reason to talk to a doctor first if you're on any psychiatric medication.
It's also not recommended if you have G6PD deficiency, a genetic condition affecting red blood cells that a lot of people don't know they have unless they've been tested, and it's not recommended during pregnancy or while nursing. If you're on any prescription medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist you're taking methylene blue before you start it, the same way you'd disclose any supplement.
Will Methylene Blue show up on a drug test?
Methylene blue isn't a controlled substance and isn't part of a standard workplace drug panel. One thing to expect: it can turn your urine (and sometimes stool) blue or green, that's a normal, harmless side effect of the compound itself, not a sign anything's wrong. If your department has specific testing policies you're unsure about, that's worth confirming directly with whoever administers your testing.
Made by Someone Who's Worked the Shifts
I spent more than 20 years as a first responder and a weight lifter. I know what it feels like to start a 48-hour shift already tired, to push through when your body is asking you to stop, and to be expected to perform at full capacity no matter what. I built Valor Bio Labs because the supplement industry wasn't building anything for people like us. Everything they made was aimed at aesthetics, more muscle, better photos, bigger numbers on the scale. Nobody was talking about the person who needs to think clearly at 3am, carry someone out of a burning building, or make a split-second decision after a 12-hour shift.
Valor BioLabs Methylene Blue is what I use. It's built on what I've learned from two decades of doing the job and taking care of my body through it. My goal is simple: everyone who comes in for their shift goes home at the end of it. That starts with taking care of yourself. This product is part of how I do that.
